It’s an exciting time in the life of the Celebrate People’s History series, organized by Just Seeds. The collection has just been released as a book, gathering work by more than eighty artists to tell the marginalized and hidden histories of resistance – the struggles, movements, and activist efforts that are central to the making of history, but go unaccounted for in its telling.
In book form, Celebrate People’s History displays more than ten years of effort by editor and Just Seeds member Josh MacPhee. There are more than a hundred posters in the book, printed in full color and bound in a gorgeous hardcover. The work inside includes artists like Swoon, Erik Drooker, Chris Stain, and more. We’re excited to say that Groundswell has a page in there, too.
The book will be making the rounds in the coming months, with scheduled events in Chicago and New York City already on the roster. Check the tour schedule for up-to-date information.
