Participants will develop design interventions that address emerging ecological crises and opportunities found in New York ecologies of the present and near-future.

Within the specific context of New York City’s ecology, particularly its urbanizing industrialized waterways, workshop participants will explore “relational design strategies and digital design methodologies for speculative infrastructures.”

Practitioner-oriented workshops will focus on Grasshopper, Rhino’s parametric design plug-in, and evening events will include Q&A sessions, presentations, and screenings, some of which are open to the public. Check modeLab for scheduling and details.
