Add Art

Updated: AddArt does not yet work in Firefox 3, but they are seeking coders to get it running. Works now!

AddArt is an extension for the Firefox browser which removes advertising and replaces it with art.  Steve Lambert of the Anti-Advertising Agency is the force behind this effort, which is compatible with Firefox 3 (and other browsers) and is something I enjoy daily.

    Hi. Actually it works in Firfox 3 up to beta5. We’re working on a fix for Firefox 3.0. If anyone wants to contribute, the code is open source!

    How does one get their art added to the database?

    @James David, it’s currently curated as one set of shows at a time. Steve is working with curators to add more art shows, so you’ll want to work with him.

    Once we get the extension working in firefox 3.0, we want to open it up so that anyone can host an art source.
