Political Inclination and Other Leisurely Pursuits

The Norman Lear Center has conducted a study that reveals that Americans spend their leisure time differently, depending on their political views. Different types of entertainment appeal to conservatives than those that appeal to liberals. Martin Kaplan, director of the Norman Lear Center, told the Huffington Post that “the big picture is especially interesting. It turns out that — just as there are conservatives, liberals and moderates — there are people with red, blue and purple taste.”
