Katharine Hamnett is a designer of political t-shirts. Her retro protest aesthetic is really catching on lately (it probably helps to mainstream that her branding is very American Apparel.) Her designs are bold and plainspoken, featuring sayings like WORLD PEACE NOW, or, similarly, WORLD NUCLEAR BAN NOW. And for our not-so progressive readers – do we have any of those? – CHOOSE LIFE. (Which, I am hoping, is really about suicide prevention.)
