LGBT Rights Movie Night with the MCLU

This month, the regular Monday night civil liberties movie series with the Maine Civil Liberties Union features The Way Life Should Be: Marriage in Maine. They’ll be screening it on October 22 at the North Star Cafe (225 Congress Street, Portland, ME).

This episode of the ACLU Freedom Files – which includes humorous takes on heavy issues by comedians, Judy Gold and Margaret Cho – shows the harm that occurs when loving couples’ relationships aren’t fully recognized. With a special screening of The Way Life Should Be: Marriage in Maine, a film about 3 Maine couples who are denied the protections of marriage (co-produced by the MCLU)
